Fed: G20 gave Rudd's proposals short shrift: Bishop

The federal opposition says the G20 gave KEVIN RUDD's proposals to tackle the global
financial meltdown short shrift at last week's meeting.

Deputy Opposition Leader JULIE BISHOP has told ABC TV .. the prime minister would be
very disappointed because few .. if any .. of his priorities received support.

She's also accused the PM of wasting a golden opportunity to promote Australia when
he appeared on a US TV show.

She says he spent most of his time talking about his push for China to have a greater
role in the International Monetary Fund .. than the stability of Australia's banking sector
.. mentioning China 20 times .. and Australia just five times.
