American Eagle adds flights to Chicago
DAYTON -- American Eagle, an affiliate of American Airlines, willprovide two additional daily round-trip flights from DaytonInternational Airport to Chicago O'Hare International Airportstarting on April 5, city officials said Thursday.
The flights will depart from Dayton on Mondays through Fridays at12:35 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

HarborLink to offer Wi-Fi access to Quiconnect users
DAYTON -- HarborLink Network Ltd., a provider of Internet accessand network management services in North America, announced apartnership that will allow customers of Quiconnect to get access toHarborLink network locations.
Quiconnect, based in London, England, offers "roaming" wirelesscommunications services.
HarborLink said Thursday that the agreement covers restaurantchains, gasoline stations and other retail locations, universities,municipal Wi-Fi networks and convention centers across the UnitedStates where Dayton-based Harbor-Link now provides Internet access.
The company announced a similar agreement earlier this week withAicent Inc. of San Jose, Calif.

Kettering firm involved in Navy weapon project
KETTERING -- IAP Research Inc., a contractor for the DefenseDepartment, said its research supported a test of a "railgun" weaponthat is capable of firing a 23-pound projectile at least 110 miles.
The goal is to improve the weapon's performance so that aprojectile could be hurled 200 miles in six minutes from a Navyship, said Dave Bauer, the Kettering company's vice president andhead of the railgun project.
IAP is doing the work in collaboration with defense contractorBAE Systems and the Office of Naval Research.
IAP's expertise includes electromagnetic launchers and relatedtechnology. The company serves the Defense Department, EnergyDepartment and private business.

Marathon splits into two companies
HOUSTON -- Marathon Oil said Thursday it will split into twocompanies, separating its business of exploring for and producingoil from its lower-margin refining operation.
The refining company will be known as Marathon Petroleum Corp.and will be based in Find-lay. Speedway, a Marathon subsidiary basedin Enon, will be part of Marathon Petroleum.
Marathon Petroleum is expected to be the nation's fifth-largestrefiner with refineries in the Midwest, Gulf Coast and Southeast.
