Fed: Yorta people welcome Chief Justice s support

Members of the Yorta Yorta people have welcomed Federal Court Chief Justice MICHAEL
BLACK'S support for their native title claim.

This is despite the majority full court decision rejecting their appeal.

MONICA MORGAN, coordinator of the Yorta Yorta claim, says Chief Justice BLACK'S dissenting
opinion offered a glimmer of hope for her people.

She says the Chief Justice can see the argument, and can feel the need for a change
within this country.
