WA:Woman tied up, burnt in Perth fire

PERTH, Dec 21 AAP - A Perth woman has been taken to hospital after being severely burnt
in a fire at a unit where she was found tied up.

Firefighters were called to a home in Cannington at about 11.30am (WST) on Wednesday,
after receiving reports of fire and smoke coming from the unit.

They found the woman, believed to be aged in her 20s, tied up inside and called police
and St John Ambulance.

The woman, who had suffered serious burns, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

It is not known if the unit or the woman were set on fire.

The blaze is being treated as suspicious.
