NSW: Rain causes mini landslide on M5 East Freeway
SYDNEY, Feb 4 AAP - Torrential rain in Sydney today has caused a minor land slip ona section of the new M5 East Freeway and localised flooding on the northern beaches.
Roads and Traffic Authority spokesman Ken Boys said some landscaping had given wayunder the heavy rain, causing woodchips, mud and other debris to fall onto the road.
Mr Boys said the slide occurred about 8am (AEDT) on the south side of the tunnel, northof the Bexley Road entrance.
Both city bound lanes in the tunnel have been closed to aid in the clean up operation.
