Fed: Seminars to boost tourism in regional Australia

BRISBANE, Feb 9 AAP - The tourism industry will hit the road next week with a series
of seminars designed to boost its potential in regional and rural Australia.

The 11 seminars, sparked by the findings of the federal government's Regional Australia
Summit last year, will be held in every state and territory.

Stephanie Hunt, manager of the Lismore-based Centre for Regional Tourism Research,
said the Regional Tourism - Issues and Priorities for 2000 and Beyond series, would help
